I was born in Mcallen Texas, January 28 1970. My father Danny Blouin, and my mother Ellen Strickland Blouin. My father was in the U.S. Navy so we bounced all over the United States in the early 70’s, from California to Florida, Colorado, and Washington DC my first years. Transferred to Italy in 1976. From 6-10 years old I lived in a coastal town of Pinetamare, Italy. Then in 1980 we returned to the U.S.A., destination Virginia Beach, Virginia. Growing up around the ocean most of my life, led me to becoming a waterman, professional lifeguard, and Amateur-Pro bodyboarder in 1986. I began my photography journey shooting images of my friends in the surf back in the 80’s. It continued to be a great passion to capture and create images for others to enjoy. In 1995 I moved to the North Shore of Oahu, then to Guam, Florida, Italy, Japan. I eventually returned to Virginia Beach, VA. I currently reside in Chesapeake Beach, A.K.A. Chick’s Beach. Ten years ago I decided to take my photography seriously. I taught myself digital photography, computer skills, and photo/video editing, Lightroom Photoshop. I owe my imaging knowledge to Master classes of Mark Hemmings. The most influential photographer that has shaped all aspects of my style is Nikon Photographer, Dave Morrow. All of my photography is taken with Nikon full frame cameras. I have a current FAA Part 107 Commercial Remote Pilot License, all aerial images are taken with DJI UAS camera drones.
